I found you! I met you last year at the Marriott while you were stuck there. I am the single mom who was bringing home my second from Guat and gave you my Britta pitcher and other supplies as we were leaving. I love your blog. It is hard to believe it has been a year for them to be home. My youngest will be 2 on the 31st, and our Gotcha Day is Aug 2. I am thinking of starting a blog because I LOVE reading everyone elses. So glad I stumbled upon you again. Take care, terri in virginia (tstover at tstover dot com)
Happy Birthday as far as the U.S. goes. It's doesn't seem like a year since we were meeting you at the airport. We are so glad you are a part of our family. We love you Maya.
Hi Little Mymy: I can't believe its been a year since I first say you. Aunt Reeree, MawMaw Byrd, Kensi, Gabe & Tyty rushed to the airport to see you. We didn't make it before you were off the plane but you made yourself at home in the airport. You acted like you had known all of us forever. You were a perfect fit for our family. I gave you your first US bath that night in Nana's kitchen sink and put on an Auburn T-shirt that your Gramps was so proud of. Your mom wasn't so crazy about it though. I'll never forget that special day. I know that God sent you to your mommy and us. I know that He has special plans for you. I pray for you everyday. Love you so much, Mammie
Isn't it amazing how fast time goes once they are home?? What a Wonderful day that was when you finally arrived in the U.S. with that beautiful girl! Love you guys Jolene and Layla
I am a single mother with a daughter from Guatemala. I brought her home on August 21st, 2007. I am loving every second of motherhood. Maya is the love of my life. I can't imagine life without her. I thank God everyday that she is home in my arms.
